Building Connections

Maikoa is the best part of me—my daughter (Mai) and my son (Takoda - Koa for short). I envisioned capturing our life’s journey on this site to tell the story of our family connection. Little did I think the theme “building connections” would be central to my consulting business. Throughout my career, no matter what the challenge or opportunity, getting a different perspective often connects someone to the next best step to drive toward a solution. It is my passion to help clients gain that perspective and build their path to meet their personal or business goals.

About

“Ultimately, we are all humans seeking to connect to what matters most. We build relationships as individuals or businesses to strengthen these connections and get to what we want and where we want to be.”

— Founder & CEO, Bonnie Roche

I am the founder and owner of Maikoa Consulting. I help businesses and professionals respond to change and grow. I stitch strategy to execution. My career spans multiple roles across IT, Editorial, Marketing, Product Development, Project Management, and Customer Service as a front-line contributor, manager, and on to the C-Suite. Because of this journey, I can observe and uncover what matters to individuals seeking to broaden their career or personal pursuits and what matters to businesses seeking to scale. The process is the same for both cohorts — (1) who are you and where do you want to go; (2) where are you now; (3) what do you have and what are you missing; (4) how do you get what’s missing and organize it to get you to where you want to be. It is simple, yet easy to get stuck if you don’t have a trusted advisor.

I think the most important part of business is the humans in it. This perspective is embedded in my business and mentoring aspirations. When you work with our team, be prepared to think not just about the technical nuts and bolts of starting or building a business but also dive a bit deeper about your why and what you want to get out of your business and what you want your business to give to the world.

When I’m not helping businesses and individuals grow, I strive to connect with my husband and our five children at home and in the wild.
